Unplug the power cable from the XVR. This step ensures that the device is not receiving power during the reset process.
Press and hold the reset button on the device.
While holding the reset button, plug the power cable back into the XVR. Continue holding the reset button.
Keep holding the reset button for 30 seconds or until you hear a long beep. This extended button press is often required to trigger a full factory reset.
Once you hear the long beep or after 30 seconds, release the reset button. The device should restart.
After the device has restarted, you can set a new password. You may need to access the device's interface through a web browser or other means to configure its settings and set the new password.
